Joe Pato is running for re-election. Even though he is running uncontested, I would still like to say a few words of appreciation for what he has done for us in the past six years.
His heart is in Lexington, whatever he has done, he did it for us. He worked closely with other Board of Selectmen members, and other departments in our town. His record shows what an important part he played as a Selectman. He achieved!
Joe has time for us. On Wednesday afternoons, I often saw him at the Community Center, talking to people who approached him. On occasions when he was sitting there alone, I have sat down and told him some concerns of mine. He always welcomed me and took time to discuss the issues. He listened!
Last week, the Chinese American Association of Lexington (CAAL) held a Forum for Candidates running for town wide positions. Joe came even thought he has no opponents. He came to communicate with his fellow Lexingtonians. He came to answer questions from this group, asked for our input on how to make Lexington a better place for ALL. He reached out to us, in a serious yet humorous manner. He succeeded!
We are happy that Joe will continue to serve us. He is here to help us in any way he can.
My husband Larry joins me in wishing Joe another successful term.
