Joe Pato is a selectman dedicated to bringing the community together, celebrating its diverse population, reducing costs where appropriate by careful oversight of the budget and addressing environmental and safety concerns. I support Joe and his policies and concerns.
He has served as selectman since 2013, including being chair of the board. Previously he served on the appropriations committee and as a Town Meeting member.
There are many examples of Joe’s involvement in steadily moving our town forward. Joe advocated for the Center Streetscape plan, including redesign of street crossings for safety. He advocated for the Community Center and saw it successfully running. He advocated for solar panels on school and town buildings which are not only environmentally appropriate, but has saved the town $400,000 annually. He worked to bring plans for a new Central Fire Station to the implementation phase.
Perhaps most importantly, he works to involve ordinary citizens in determining what and how things should be done.
Joe is running unopposed for one of the two three-year terms for Selectman. Join me in thanking Joe for all he has done and will do for us by voting for him in the town election Monday, March 4.
